Notes on Delias benasu :
An odd species which appears to be an outlying member of the Group. Talbot in his Monograph places the species in the belladonna Group, but Yagishita has moved it to the pasithoe Group. We will retain it here for the time being.
It is one of, if not the largest of all Delias.
The Delias benasu specimens I saw in Puncak Palopo, Sulawesi, were flying very high in the top of flowering trees. (OP)
